Pontarius, the infrastructure and urban development consultant that integrates business development, law, finance, environment, management and technology, has signed a framework agreement with Swedish Regional Airports AB (SRF). The agreement includes technical consulting support for the client in the implementation of the Green Airport 2.0 project.
The aim of the Green Airport 2.0 project is primarily to work towards the aviation and airport transition, including the use of new technology, automation, and digitalization. It will also explore how the new fossil-free aviation can drive regional development. The agreement was signed in December and extends through December 2028.
”This is very exciting for us, but also for an industry that has received a lot of criticism, often unjustly. The aviation industry is, in fact, an innovative sector. SRF launching Green Airport 2.0 serves as proof of this,” says Natanael Ljung, Regional Manager at Pontarius.
The project is ongoing with activities that partly run in parallel, although over time, more focus will be placed on certain activities. Several of the activities will require expert support with in-depth knowledge of the specific regulations that apply to airports. This means that Pontarius, as a supplier, needs to have strong knowledge and experience regarding the specific conditions, rules, and regulations governing airports.
