Thailand is easing restriction for young travellers

TEST & GO: Travel to Thailand quarantine-free – Latest update

For fully vaccinated from current 63 countries, incl those from the Nordics and the Baltics and unvaccinated children under 18 years.

Royal Thai Government Gazette has officially announced the further easing rules for travelers entering Thailand under the Exemption from Quarantine (TEST & GO) entry scheme, effective from 16 December, 2021

What’s new?

  • Children age under 6 years travelling with parents are exempted from taking a RT-PCR test before 72 hours before departure.
  • Children age 12-18 years do not need to present a certificate of vaccination if they are travelling with parents. If they are travelling alone, they need to show a certificate of vaccination at least 1 dose of accepted vaccine.
  • Those who have recovered from Covid-19 must present a certificate of recovery together with a vertificate of vaccination showing 1 dose of an accepted vaccine.
  • Those infected and have recovered no less than 14 days but no longer than 3 months may present a certificate of recovery in case the RT-PCR test result is positive.
  • Children age under 18 travelling with parents should register for Thailand Pass QR Code together with their parents or guardians and not separately.

TEST & GO: Travel to Thailand quarantine-free

  • Fully vaccinated travelers against COVID-19 from current 63 nations including Nordic and Baltic to visit Thailand.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination
  • Health insurance covering COVID-19 during the total stay in Thailand. Minimum coverage of 50,000USD
  • A negative RT-PCR Test 72 hours before departure
  • From 16 December, children under 6 years old no longer need to show a negative RT-PCR test 72 hours before departure. They need to do a saliva test upon arrival.
  • Fully paid confirmation at SHA ++ Hotel  for at least 1 night, evidence of payment of RT-PCR Test and one ATK-self kit as well as transfer (within 5 hours to your hotel). A list of SHA++ (SHA Extra Plus) Hotel can be found Here.
