Alfa Laval testar nya bränslen för att stödja övergången mot en mer hållbar sjöfart

Alfa Laval – världsledande inom värmeöverföring, separering och flödeshantering – kommer inom kort att börja testa två nya typer av marint bränsle; biobränslen (tillverkade av restprodukter) och metanol, vid sitt test- och utbildningscenter i Danmark. Att göra dessa utsläppsneutrala bränslen kommersiellt gångbara kan komma att få stor inverkan på marinindustrin i dess strävan mot avkarbonisering.

Den internationella sjöfartsorganisationen (IMO) har som mål att fartygsrelaterade utsläpp av växthusgaser ska ha halverats år 2050. För att uppnå det långsiktiga målet måste marinindustrin övergå till nya bränsletyper och teknologier. Alfa Lavals test- och utbildningscenter i Aalborg, Danmark, tar en framträdande roll i testningen av nya bränslen med syfte att anpassa och utveckla utrustning för fartygens maskinrum och därmed stödja branschens strävan mot avkarbonisering. Testanläggningen på 2800 m2 – som redan är utrustad för dagens olje- och gasbränslen – har nu också förberetts för testning av biobränslen och metanol. Testerna beräknas påbörjas under våren.

”Det finns ett antal bränsletyper som är möjliga i övergången mot utsläppsneutrala fartyg men kunskapen om dessa bränslens påverkan på marina produkter och lösningar är begränsad. Vi vill fördjupa och bredda den kunskapen genom testning, säger Sameer Kalra, chef för Marindivisionen. ”Vår ambition är att utveckla hållbara teknologilösningar i samarbete med andra marina aktörer, så att våra kunder kan möta sina egna klimatmål oavsett vald bränsletyp.”

Då fartyg har en livslängd på 20 år eller mer måste nollutsläppsfartyg ingå i den globala flottan år 2030 för att uppnå målet om 50 procent minskade utsläpp år 2050. Det finns källor som förutspår att år 2023 kommer världens första klimatneutrala fartyg att sättas i drift och metanoldrivna fartyg kommer att kunna levereras inom en tvåårsperiod.

Lyckegård Group AB (publ) genomför villkorad överlåtelse av aktier i Lyckegård Soil & Seed AB

Lyckegård Group AB (publ), org.nr 556757-7597, (”Lyckegård” eller ”Bolaget”) har idag genomfört överlåtelse av 80 procent av aktierna i Lyckegård Soil & Seed AB, org.nr 556136-8035, (jämte andelarna i dess dotterföretag Lyckegård Finland Oy AB, FO-nr 2603583-4).

 

Som kommunicerats genom pressmeddelande den 13 mars 2024 har Lyckegård ingått ett avtal varigenom Bolaget överlåter 80 procent av aktierna i Lyckegård Soil & Seed AB (jämte andelarna i dess dotterföretag Lyckegård Finland Oy AB). Avtalet villkorades bland annat av att överlåtelsen godkändes genom beslut vid extra bolagsstämma i Bolaget. Sedan det vid en extra bolagsstämma i Bolaget den 28 mars 2024 fattades beslut att godkänna överlåtelsen har Bolaget och köparna konstaterat att samtliga villkor för överlåtelsen är uppfyllda. Lyckegård har frånträtt och köparna har tillträtt aktierna den 28 mars 2024.
