Finnish company Inderes acquires Financial Hearings’ event business and their partner Streamfabriken. Former Financial Hearings owner Per-Erik Holmström will remain focused on henceforth independent FH Award and FH Ranking brands. Holmström is also moving forward to support the developments in the global financial presentations structure with the IR Global League.   

After 30 years in business with financial presentations, Per-Erik Holmström will continue working on the international standardization of financial events with the IR Global League, linking to the global investor relations community and former IIRF. Per-Erik will continue working with FH Ranking and FH Award brands, henceforth independent from Financial Hearings and the event business. Inderes plans to maintain the Financial Hearings brand and work with it as it is: an open and independent platform for events – with many similarities to their own highly successful investor content channel, InderesTV.

For those of you with a will to work with Per-Erik, who by 2004 had already done over 1000 analyst meeting events, “there will be some possibilities to do things until the end of 2022, but after that it is finally over for me after 30 years as an event manager”,  says Per-Erik Holmström, recently 60 years of age.

Holmström continues: “Inderes gave me an opportunity to proceed with a project that I have worked with for nearly 20 years, the IR Global League. In this project, I can work with giving the financial market and community a more fixed structure around events, where it now seems obvious to everyone that the “airtime” is limited. I think it is incredible that the financial events market still works like a lot of independent drones in the air, especially as I think that the financial presentations is the end product, based on the companies’ performance that splits equity in winners and losers in their gain for capital. I am happy and proud to hand over the event business to Inderes and CEO Mikael Rautanen who has also worked as an entrepreneur with a clear vision of transparent information leading to a more efficient valuation of listed companies, as well as improved liquidity over time. In many ways one of the strongest tools in the Financial Hearings model and brand is the intellectual and valuation support from Research. We also share a common vision of a Nordic network.

Regarding his next project, IR Global League, Per-Erik says “Currently IR Global League monitors and covers 750 Nordic companies, and from January 1st 2023 it will monitor and cover 250 pan-European companies in one go, making it 1000 companies in total. In December, the release of ‘The Importance of Symbioses Between Financial Presentations, Investor Relations and Equity Research for Optimal Company Valuation’,  a book by Isabelle Boyer de la Giroday and myself, covering interviews with leading IR people in Europe”.

“Finally, thanks to Everyone! I think I have been spoiled during all these years: eating daily at the Opera House, cooking with some of the best chefs in the world like Werner, Erich and Stefano, and having had free access to all the best CEOs, CFOs, IROs, analyst and journalist in the financial market and also having gotten paid for that… It has been an amazing time! I hope I will still be around the Opera House from time to time.
